This Is one of my character pieces,  Madelyne Grey.

Here is the process I used to create her.

After I came up with a general idea of the character I wanted to model I made some sketches.

I modeled a woman with normal proportions in 3DS max

I modified that model to have super heroine proportions

I modified that to create the low poly version of my model. Her base figure is just under 6,000 verts. With all of the jewelry and the eyes, she is 11,000 verts.

Then I skinned the model and put it into the pose I wanted. This is another area I deviated from the normal workflow due to time constraints. Of course normally I would want to create the high poly and texture it before I pose the model.

I downloaded the trial version of Mudbox 2009; made the high poly model as I taught myself how to use it.
